New Blog, New Start
This is the initial post of this new blog.
My original blog "Weekly Blabbity" was a fun project and introduced me to the world of blogging. I treated it like a weekly "column" and with each installment I took a subject and explored my thoughts on it. I plan to continue that practice with this blog but not on any regular schedule.
Why a new blog; why not just continue to post on Blabbity? Well, the answer is two-fold. First, I had settled into a "community" of bloggers where I'd allowed my inclusion to color my blog content. In an attempt to "be nice", which is never a bad idea, I started to allow the consideration for my audience to determine what and how I blogged. Secondly, visiting and commenting ...and responding to comments... had become obligatory and somewhat superficial, since everyone in the community seemed to be striving to "be nice" ...again, not a bad thing, but all the pleasantries were getting old ...and not what I really wanted out of blogging. In and of itself, it was fun, but a year's worth was enough. Sorta like small talk, I can only deal with a very small amount of it. It's so pointless, and for me, totally unnecessary.

Blessed is the man, who having nothing to say, abstains from giving wordy evidence of the fact.
With this new project, my words are to be totally uncensored and voiced without regard for any possible readership. I'm not even going to establish the precedent of responding to whatever comments that may be made. I'm not trying to establish a dialogue. And I won't ...repeat... won't get hung up in counting the number of comments, or checking StatCounter for the number of visitors and who they were. I've been there and done that. This time it's gonna be just for me.
